Lord Jesus my glorious King, His love is deep and wide!
He left his throne came down to seek the lost sheep, born lowly in a manger,
then to Egypt He fled, in Nazareth of Galilee He suffered.
Thirty three years in labour, was rejected by men,
He went throughout and proclaimed the good tidings.
He preached and healed in hunger, no place to lay his head,
Great is His love, marvelous and unbounding.
Lord Jesus my dear Saviour, His love can't be measured!
In agony was He at Gethsemane, His sweat fell as drops of blood,
obeyed His Father's will, to die for men, He moved onward stedfastly.
Despised shame and affliction, endured contradiction,
tarried not He bore the cross to Calvary.
His hands, feet, and side were pierced, His blood atoned for all,
Great is His love, marvelous and unbounding.
Lord Jesus, King of mercy, His love is deep and wide!
With mercy and feelings He prayed on the cross, the hanged criminal had hope,
amazing salvation! In lonliness, forsook by God, bore our sins.
Great pain was deep within him, tasted vinegar and gall,
redemption was accomplished, "It is finished."
Rose from death, ascended to heav'n, intercess as savour,
Great is His love, marvelous and unbounding.
Lord Jesus, King of triumph, His love moves me within;
Yet a sinner His love was shown on the cross, cleansed my sins and healed my wounds,
comfort compasses me, rebuke, chastise, guide my steps, direct my ways.
Though foe is evil fear not, salvation as bulwarks,
lovingly He strengthebs all that are wearied.
Look unto my Lord in heav'n, sing with grace in my heart,
Great is His love, marvelous and unbounding.
