Silent in Thy presence

Silent in Thy presence, to see Thy holy face,
Have fellowship in the silence, Utter my heart's desire.
Pour out my soul, not withholding,
my heart, Thy heart unite as one.

Silent in Thy presence, like father and son meet,
Cleave to thy breast, see Thy sweet face, Soul is indeed refreshed.
No cares, no fear, greatly blessed,
From all fullness to all fullness.

Silent in Thy presence, the faith is like the sight,
Entrust all things to Thee my Lord, Lay aside all burdens.
Comfort and peace, exceed above all,
In blissful rest, yet deeply moved.

Silent in Thy presence, Thy will to wait upon,
With voice or not, with words or not, More devout my mind be.
Can words ever tell the sweetness
of hearing such divine secret?
